Hi Tatiana,
Welcome back to
planDisney, I am happy to help you with your vacation planning question!
First, I want to sincerely thank you for the nature of your question. Due to the world situation, it is especially heartening when I see others who give careful consideration for their vacation plans and how they will take steps to enhance their safety. As we
Return to a World of Magic, we all can do our part for maintaining the health and safety principles of reduced contact, enhanced cleaning, and physical distancing.
To answer your specific question about whether you can bring an aerosol can of disinfectant into the parks, the simple answer is that it does not appear to violate any of the
Walt Disney World Property Rules. As a healthcare worker, I always pack spray disinfectant, wipe disinfectant, and hand sanitizer whenever I travel. Since other Guests may react adversely to aerosols, which travel more easily in the air, I like to bring only spray or wipe disinfectants into public places. In a pinch, I have even been known to use hand sanitizer and a paper towel to sanitize an area whenever I have left my sanitizing wipes in my other bag.
One quick tip that I learned from my husband, who is a Nurse Practitioner: if you can tolerate scented hand sanitizer then select that option. The reason is because one big way to minimize transmission of illness is to stop touching your face/head. Whenever you use scented hand sanitizer and your hand comes close to your face, such as to touch your mask, you will be quickly reminded by the scent and are more likely to not touch your face. I prefer scented hand sanitizer foam because it feels more conditioning, but any kind works.
Wishing you the most Magical of vacations! Please stop by and visit us again here at
