    Hi Vikrant,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love your questions! Keep sending them to us! New Year's Eve at the Walt Disney World Resort is spectacular! The Contemporary Resort is within walking distance of Magic Kingdom and is on the monorail line. We have watched the fireworks from the balcony near the merchandise shops and from the California Grill. Our absolute favorite experience was watching the fireworks from the private balcony of the California Grill just before our dessert arrived. The Contemporary has Garden View rooms that typically price less than the rooms in the Tower. We have stayed in the Garden View rooms and enjoyed them. During our last visit, our ground floor room had a patio with a view of Bay Lake. Although it was a bit of a walk back to the main Tower, we loved the view from the room and the room price was within our budget.

Other resorts on the monorail line and with water taxi service to Magic Kingdom are the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Polynesian Village ResortDisney's Wilderness Lodge may be a little more affordable but you cannot walk to Magic Kingdom from the resort. They do have water taxi service, however.

My family loves the Contemporary Resort and I find the decor to be lovely. We definitely know we are at the Walt Disney World Resort but never feel overwhelmed!
