    Luv the panel. from Ontario and planning trip for 2 weeks not all the stay at Disney. What would be the best way to the demand of carrying money? gift cards, visa prepaid cash? How do you handle it with out carrying a large amount? Thanks for the help!

    I'm happy to help you out with your questions.

    There are several great ways to manage your spending money at Walt Disney World.
    My favourite two, that I find to be the easiest myself, are cash and Disney Gift Cards.

    I generally travel down to Walt Disney World with US cash. With the exchange rate being as favourable as it's been lately, purchasing cash is easy and even converting leftover cash back isn't at much of a 'loss.' Upon arrival at Walt Disney World, I usually put a small amount of cash onto each of 3 Disney Gift Cards. This can be done right in your Resort Hotel upon arrival. I load one up for 'the family' for little incidentals, and then one for each of my kids with their 'spending money.'

    I lock the rest of the cash in our in-room safe. Any larger purchases such as meals, larger souvenir purchases, tipping and beverages if we're on the Disney Dining Plan, all get charged back to our Resort Room account. Every 2-3 days, I pop into the lobby on the way to the room in the evening, and request a print out of our account. The next morning, on the way out, I pop by the front desk with cash from the safe to pay off the current balance of our charges.

    I find this to the most simple way to use cash rather than charging, and to stay on budget during our trip while not carrying cash around daily.
