Luv the panel. Coming to disneyworld on July 28 with an 11 yr old for 6 days trying to plan an itenary, we are early risers, wandering if you could help us. We have park hopper and water park tickets.

Hi Sterling! Sounds like a great vacation you are planning for the summer!  I am glad you have added the Park Hopper option to your tickets as that will allow you to have a lot more choices in how to avoid crowds.

Just to note...right now Typhoon Lagoon is set to be down for refurbishment until August 1. Blizzard Beach will be open daily from 10-5. These times can change and Typhoon Lagoon can open early so be sure and check with your resort concierge when you check in.

I suggest you take it easy on your arrival day since traveling is tiring. I find it better to relax, unpack, find a nice place to dine and get to know your resort or Downtown Disney. Head to bed early and then hit the parks early in the morning. If your 11 year old can't wait then consider heading to Magic Kingdom as that park will be open until midnight. The following is a sample of a possible itinerary for you.

July 28: relax at resort, Downtown Disney, or late night in Magic Kingdom until midnight
July 29: All parks open at 9am. Suggest park for early day to be Hollywood Studios then Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom until midnight.
July 30: Early Extra Magic Hours from 8-9am at Animal KIngdom. When done there you can head to either Epcot or HOllywood Studios which will have EMH from 7-10pm
July 31: Early Extra Magic Hours at Epcot. Spend day there or hop back and forth to Hollywood Studios via boat.
Aug. 1: Water park day at either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon is that park has opened.
Aug. 2: Split your day between Magic Kingdom in morning for Extra Magic Hours from 8-9am and until crowds get large and then head to Epcot via monorail for rest of you day.

You can basically go to the Extra Magic Hours for the parks and then hop around each day to do things that are on your son's list of must ride! Try not to hit more then two parks a day or you will be using  more of your time on transportation then enjoying the attractions.
