Luv the forum!! 2/10 for 6 daysw/PH,wanna make ADR's for character dining.1 character meal per day and not breakfast fans. What time slots do u recommend being that park hrs are shorter? If we do ADR for 3 parks close at 5, if at 11 not much time in a.m.??

    Hi Tracie,

Character meals are really an attraction in themselves.  Instead of worrying about the park hours you'll be losing by sitting down for a fun meal, think about the extra time you'll have to visit other attractions because you won't have to stand in line to meet your favorite characters!

Many of the most popular character dining locations aren't even in the parks, so you can schedule those meals for 6:00 or so after the parks close. This strategy works really well for our family.

Also, just about every night there is one park that has extra magic hours.  On those days, resort guests can stay in the park for an additional 3 hours.  This means that you can go ahead and schedule that meal for the latest time available and still have time to ride your favorite attractions.

Keep in mind that when the parks close early, it's generally because the crowds will be light.  You may find that an 11:00 meal doesn't really hinder your touring plans because you are able to experience more attractions than you would if the parks were at capacity and open late.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
