luv all your advice. It has been helpful on last 2 trips! Looking toward 2011 and need to know what school break moms/dad would choose if no other options. I will be a teacher by that time and will have time restrictions. Is one break better than the rest?

    Hi there Paula!

My parents are both retired teachers from New York, and have been taking my family to Disney since I was in diapers!  Our vacations, therefore, always centered around school breaks.  In fact, they still do for my family, as I rarely take my kids out of school for vacation.  If you don't mind warm (well, ok, hot) weather, the last two weeks of August are a good time to visit.  Schools in much of the country are already back in session, and the summer crowds are generally significantly thinned out.  In fact, my family recently returned from a late August trip, and the crowds were completely manageable.

If you are not a fan of hot weather, I prefer Spring break over President's Week and the Christmas Holiday, which is, by far, the most crowded time in the parks.  Spring Breaks tend to vary state-by-state, allowing the crowds to "spread out" a bit, whereas Christmas and President's Week are set dates, and tend to yield large crowds.

Whenever you go, have a great trip!
