Going for lunch at Sanaa for the first time. Planning to take the bus from AK. How far is the restaurant from the bus stop at AKL? How long should we leave for the journey. Thanks

    Hi Andrea,

Sanaa is one of my family's all-time favorite Walt Disney World restaurants. You're in for a treat -- both with the food and the view of the savanna from the restaurant.

The ride from Animal Kingdom to Animal Kingdom Lodge's Kidani Village takes just a few minutes, and the bus drops you off near the entrance to the lobby. Sanaa is across the lobby, down one flight of stairs. So you will arrive within minutes of exiting the bus.

Because buses run approximately every 20 minutes, I always try to factor a 20-minute wait time into my travel estimate, just in case we arrive at the stop soon after the most recent bus has departed. So I would plan to be at the bus station outside Animal Kingdom 30-40 minutes before your Sanaa reservation.

I hate feeling rushed. If you arrive early, there's an animal viewing area just outside the restaurant's hostess desk that's a great place to relax until your table is ready.

One more bit of advice about Sanaa, Andrea: Don't miss the bread service, a variety of Indian-style breads with nine condiments for dipping. It's so delicious.
