I have a lunch reservation at Tusker House. I also have food allergies. Would it be possible for me to stop by the restaurant before my reservation to make sure I have enough to eat? If I don't have enough, how do I avoid getting charged the $10 fee?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Robert!

Tusker House Restaurant is one of my favorite character dining experiences! It has really yummy food and Donald and friends are so fun to interact with during your meal. My son has multiple food allergies, so I understand your concern about finding safe foods on a buffet. I recommend you contact the Special Diets Team at Special.Diets@disneyworld.com to give you information about accommodating your specific food allergies. You can contact them prior to your trip and they will help you plan for all of the meals you will be enjoying during your vacation. In my experience, we have had some buffets where my son was able to safely eat many things directly from the buffet. In other cases, his allergen has been present on many spots on the buffet and so the chef offered to cook separately for him. Be sure to put your allergies on your reservation and remind your server of your allergy when you sit down. The chef will then come to your table to help you make safe and tasty choices for your meal.
