Howdy, Martin! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for help in planning your magical vacation! Our family LOOOVES ice cream for dessert, and I can’t wait to try that 10-Gallon Hat Challenge! I’m glad to hear that you have a version of the Disney Dining Plan, since eatin' is what’s on the menu; Walt Disney World Resort is really a foodie’s paradise!.
Now, when you sit down at
Disney’s Whispering Canyon Cafe, go ahead and order yourself some delicious lunch and pay with your meal credit. I’m sorry to tell you that the 10 Gallon Hat isn’t quite on the standard menu and doesn’t qualify as a dessert option for the Disney Dining Plan, even if you have folks to share it with. That being said, you could always pay out of pocket for it, if you’ve got your cowboy boots on, or…
...You can take Disney dessert eating to the next level and get that Kitchen Sink.
Beaches and Cream is home to the original Kitchen Sink Sundae, complete with scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, smothered in every topping plus and ENTIRE CAN of whipped-cream. I’ll tell you first-hand that it’s decadent and delicious. You can also get it in a Chocolate Lover’s version, if you’re craving cocoa! Since you’ll be staying at Disney’s Yacht Club, you’ll be just steps from this awesome treat. Make a reservation online or you can try your hand as a walk up; play video games in the next door arcade while you wait!
Please let me know which cool ice-cream paradise you end up going for; you and your 3 friends won’t be disappointed! ~ Lindsey P.
