What if my luggage weighs more than 50 lbs

    Hi Carole,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!

I’m happy to say that how much your luggage weighs won’t be a concern when it comes to boarding a Disney Cruise Line Ship. Unlike airlines, Disney doesn’t have a weight restriction on the bags, all they ask is that you avoid exceeding two bags per person, for your checked luggage. So feel free to pack formal wear, pirate wear and all the necessities that you think you might need to enjoy your vacation to the utmost!

Please remember, however, that you’ll want to pack your travel documents and necessary medication in your carry-on luggage. That bag must be roughly the same size as an airline carry-on bag, because it needs to be small enough to fit through the security scanner at the port.

Tip: You should receive 2 luggage tags per person at home before you leave for your vacation. Please attach those to your bags once you're on your way to the Port. If you don't receive your tags, don't worry! The Porters who will greet you will be able to assist you with checking your luggage when you arrive.

I hope my answer helps you plan and pack for a magical voyage, Carole! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
