Any day now you should be receiving some magical mail from
Disney Cruise Line! Your pixie dusted envelope will include a cruise booklet with some helpful information about your voyage and two luggage tags per person. These luggage tags will be labeled with the names of all those traveling in your party along with your sail date, ship and stateroom number. If you are utilizing
Disney Cruise Line ground transportation from the Orlando Airport on the day of your departure, you will need to attach your luggage tags before leaving your home airport. The next time you'll see your bags is outside of your stateroom door later that afternoon. If you have arranged for independent transportation or are flying in another day, hold off on putting your luggage tags on until it's time to head to the port. The Orlando International Airport is the only airport that is equipped to transfer your luggage directly to the ship, so if you are flying to the Miami Airport or any other port of departure, you'll need to retrieve your own luggage. You will want to go ahead and tag your bags if you have purchased Disney Cruise Line Transportation because you will be giving it directly to a representative before heading to the port.
Regardless of your travel arrangements, be sure to keep any important documents and medicine with you in a day bag. It may take several hours before your bags arrive, and staterooms are not ready until 1:30 p.m. We always bring or wear our bathing suits so we hit the pool right after lunch. And don't forget your sunscreen!
