Anchors Aweigh, Ginger, and welcome to planDisney where we love to help guests plan Magical voyages even more than Maui loves his hook!
Ginger, as a guest who is constantly trying to master the art of packing (
ahem, read this as not over- or underpacking) I appreciate this question! Currently, all guests on
Disney Cruise Line are provided with
2 luggage tags for checked bags. Now, while there is a maximum size for day bags (or carry-on bags which is 22" high, 14" wide, and 9" deep), there is no posted minimum size for checked luggage. And while there is also no maximum size posted, I typically adhere to the common airline checked bag policy because those suitcases or bags will need to be stored in your stateroom. The largest suitcase that my family brought onboard Disney Cruise Line measures 31" high, 19.8" wide, and 12.6" deep.
Ginger, I'll also encourage you to take a look at the
Packing List for Disney Cruises and the list of
Prohibited Items as you're deciding what to bring and what to leave at home. Make sure you keep any medications, paperwork for embarkation, and any other necessary items with you at all times, and not inside your checked luggage. I also like to keep swimsuits in our carry-on bag in case my family wants to take a quick dip in the pool before our luggage arrives in our stateroom.
Ginger, I hope this helps as you're thinking ahead to your upcoming sailing. If you have additional questions, please come on back to planDisney.
Wishing you fair winds and following seas,
Lauren
