Hello, Simone! Welcome to planDisney. It's a pleasure to answer your question as you prepare for a holiday aboard the Disney Cruise Line. Thanks for sailing our way!
It is so exciting to pack and prepare for a Disney Cruise that I tend to start
packing early. And the earlier I begin packing, the more I try to bring along with me. For my family's first Disney Cruise, my husband and I looked at the luggage we brought with us and decided that we could live quite comfortably for several months out of our suitcases until it got cold enough to need a jacket. To say we overpacked is an understatement!
The luggage allowance for Disney Cruise Line is two suitcases per person. These suitcases will be checked in with the luggage porters at the port and will arrive in your stateroom on the day of embarkation. You will receive two
luggage tags per guest in your travel party for this checked baggage prior to setting sail. In addition to these suitcases, you may bring one carry-on bag (not to exceed 22 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 9 inches deep in dimension) and one personal bag onto the ship. Please place all valuables, medication, and important travel documents in your personal carry-on luggage. You will take this luggage with you on the ship and can bring it to your stateroom shortly after boarding.
If you'll be departing from a port with warm weather, you may enjoy packing a swimsuit in your carry-on bag. You'll be able to enjoy the pools shortly after boarding and start your holiday with some well-deserved relaxation.
Please cruise back to us with any additional questions. I love to help guests chart a course for adventure with the Disney Cruise Line!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
