Do they have the Luan Polynesian dinner and show at the resort

    Aloha Suzanne!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so happy you stopped by to see us as you plan for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  Your question is tugging at my heartstrings as I was just going through old photos of my very first visit in 1989 and saw pictures of me and my family enjoying the luau at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.  Unfortunately, the luau is no longer offered, but you'll find plenty of island fun when you visit this tropical resort.

My husband loves Hawaii, so we typically find ourselves visiting the Polynesian at least once on each trip. . .even though we haven't had the opportunity to stay here yet!  We often go to check out the fabulous dining options, including one of our favorites, 'Ohana!  During breakfast, you can typically find Mickey and Pluto joining Lilo and Stitch for a meal that celebrates friendship while featuring familiar menu options with an island twist.  In the evening, 'Ohana offers an all-you-care-to-enjoy feast that is nothing short of spectacular.  While characters aren't present at dinner, the atmosphere is still incredible and we have even been treated to a ukulele player on many visits!

When we haven't been able to get a reservation at 'Ohana, we usually stop by to visit Tambu Lounge for a drink and light dinner.  Afterward, you can usually find us grabbing a sweet treat from Pineapple Lanai and then heading to the beach to watch the fireworks from Magic Kingdom Park!  Other popular choices here are Kona Cafe and Trader Sam's Grog Grotto

It is important to note that parking at Disney resort hotels is reserved for Guests staying at the property and those with confirmed dining or activity reservations.  If you're planning to visit the Polynesian and don't have a dining reservation, you'll need to use Disney's complimentary resort transportation.  The easiest option is to head to this resort from Magic Kingdom by taking the Monorail or a boat.

Suzanne, I hope this information has been helpful and that you have a wonderful time visiting Walt Disney World Resort!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
