<3 the panel! We will be spending my sons 3rd bday & the week surrounding @POR. his bday falls on EASTER this coming year! Are there any special events going on? We already have ADR for Chef Mickeys Bfast, any egg hunts? or special meals?

    Randi:

When our family visited Disney World over Easter a few years back, we found that most every resort had some type of Easter celebration for the resort's guests.  Some had candy hunts, some had meet and greets with the Easter Bunny and then there's the annual worship service at The Contemporary.

I found over the years that Disney doesn't advertise these special events for resort guests online.  When I told some friends about our experience of wading through more candy than our children could bring home from our own Easter trip to Disney, I wanted to give them details for their trip last spring, but couldn't find anything on the internet. The operator at the Contemporary Resort didn't have information about the worship services in the ballroom until about 3 weeks out.

With all that said, though, our family received a brochure in the mail two weeks before we arrived for Halloween this fall announcing all the free events for guests at the resort.  (I don't remember them doing this for our Easter trip in 2008.)  So my advice is to keep an eye on your mail in anticipation, but if this Easter is like those in the past, your resort will have many activities to fill your schedule that Sunday.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
