<3 panel. Secret vacation for my daughter's bday on 2/18-2/26 staying CENPOP. She will be 8. She is very mature for her age. We have reservation for Ohana character breakfast. Looking for a restaurant for diner to celebrate her birthday. Any suggestions

    Hi Desiree,

What a great birthday surprise you have in store for your daughter!!

One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World is that just about every restaurant is kid friendly.  It's a great place to introduce your children to fine dining experiences.

I think your little girl might really enjoy dining at California Grill in the Contemporary Resort.  It's a signature restaurant, so it's definitely on the nicer side - very elegant for a sophisticated 8 year old.  You can't beat the view; in fact, if you can get a reservation around the time of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, you're in for a great treat.  The restaurant stops serving during Wishes, lowers the lights, and pipes in music.  You can even head out to the balcony to get a better view.

If you're looking for something more on the "fun" side, 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian is quite nice.  Dinner is served with Cinderella and the rest of the characters from the movie.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
