Hi! <3 the panel, you are all great. Every year we visit Disney in August. But this year we are going on February 18-26 to celebrate our daughter's birthday. What can we expect for crowd and weather. Will it be any difference??

    Hi Desiree,
Thank you so much for your kind words.  We Moms (and Dads) are just so excited about the special family times we have spent at Walt Disney World that we love to share it!

I think the biggest difference you will find will be in the weather. August is traditionally much hotter (averaging daytime highs in the low 90's), with possibilities of rain.  In February, daytime highs are often in the 70's, with much less possibility of rain.  Evenings in February can be cool, especially for watching fireworks and parades, so make sure you have sweaters or light jackets.  Crowds will probably be similar, maybe a bit less (depending if you are used to going in early or late August).

Now, some Birthday Pixie-dust!  If you will be hitting a theme park on her birthday, stop in at guest services at the entrance of any park (at the Magic Kingdom stop in at City Hall).  Tell them it is her birthday and they will give her a 'Birthday Button' so she can wear it all day.  Cast members will go out of their way to acknowledge the birthday girl!

For birthday dinner, if you want a specialty birthday cake, call the cake hotline at  (407) 827-2253   Alternatively, you can order a cake at almost any sit-down restaurant...just ask at the podium when you check in.  These cakes serve about 5 people come in chocolate and vanilla and cost is currently $21.

I hope this is the most magical Birthday trip yet!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
