Hi loving your site I am hoping to visit in 2013 to celebrate my fiftieth birthday I am a single parent with daughter 15 and son13 ideally staying at either Ak or Bclub which do you recommend or how easy would it b to spend some time at each

    Hi Debbie,

It's lovely to see a question from a fellow Brit!

Both Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort are both amazing places to stay and I have absolutely no doubt that you would thoroughly enjoy a stay at either one of them.

The main advantages to staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort are:-

    1/ Location
This hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is also very close to Disney's BoardWalk Area which is a lovely place to spend some time out of the parks.
    2/ Stormalong Bay swimming pool
To be honest, this swimming pool is more like a water wonderland located within the Resort which features waterfalls, a lazy circular river and a waterslide. It is the best Resort hotel pool to be found on Disney property in my opinion.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort is an African lodge-style Resort amidst a 43-acre wildlife preserve. It is spectacular in its own right and is certainly not like any other hotel I have ever seen.  The Resort hotel features over 30 species of wildlife that roam amidst 4 lush, tropical savannas, offering the unique opportunity to observe exotic animals from special alcoves with glass windows throughout the Resort and from the balconies of select Guest rooms. Each savanna features a unique look and feel, and is home to different animals.

If you could do a split stay, you would be able to experience the best of both worlds!

I hope that this information has been of help and if I can be of any more help, please visit us again and ask me another question.

Wishing you a lovely 50th birthday and magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
