Hi lovely moms, dd's 5 & 8 doing pirate adventure cruise, giving us 2hrs to ourselves on our 10th wedding anniversary, budget not stretching to spa, any suggestions? Travelling from FWC to GF best route (Car/boat/mono) ? How long will it take?

Even two hours of uninterrupted adult time can seem like a vacation, Nicola.  I totally understand where you're coming from!  Since you will be around the Grand Floridian, I would recommend that you stay put there since two hours won't allow you a ton of time to get around.  The grounds there are truly lovely; you might enjoy just strolling hand-in-hand and taking in the sights.  If you're a tad more adventurous, you might consider heading to the marina and renting a boat.  There is a lot to see on the waterways around Magic Kingdom.  If that idea doesn't float your boat (pun totally intended) maybe a quiet lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe would be a great way to celebrate your ten happy years together.  Whatever you choose, I hope you have a happy anniversary and a great trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
