We loved our recent Bahamian cruise on the Disney Magic in early May 2012. We're already thinking about our next cruise! We booked our first cruise less than three months before departure; what, if any, benefits are there to booking early for next year?

    Hi Heather,

I know how you feel....I can usually be heard planning our next Disney cruise at breakfast on the second day of the cruise we are on....my husband expects this of me after 6 Disney sailings.....lucky number 7 is coming up soon!

The biggest benefit is that the fares are cheaper when you book that far ahead of time.  As a sailing date gets closer, availability lessens and pricing goes higher.  By booking way ahead of time, you also have more time to pay for your cruise.  Remember, you can book it with a deposit, and continue to pay for it in whatever increments you'd like, as often as you'd like; as long as your full fare is paid in full 90 days before the sail date.   I don't know if you know this, but you can also have Disney Cruise Line add credit to your stateroom account.  I know that being able to budget payments and add money to my account makes everything a lot easier for me.

I hope this helps Heather.  Please let me know if I can answer anything else for you.  Bon voyage!
