Loved the Polynesian 2 yrs ago, 1st trip. Suddenly deciding to return to DW in May. Just discovered childcare centers closed! Only have 1 boy (7) and hope to date night it. Do camps exist that bring kids together? or chat board to arrange combined care?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, John! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

I'm excited to hear that you'll be coming back to the Most Magical Place on Earth this spring. May is a beautiful time to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. In addition to the parks, make sure to schedule in some pool time and take advantage of that Florida sun! Like the flowers blooming at Epcot, sometimes the best trips are those that just "pop up!"

And... as my husband and I love doing date-nights (and long weekends) at the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm excited to help you make this a reality. I have a few ideas that might help out.

First, If your son is like mine, he's always up for an adventure. Check out Captain Hook's Pirate Crew. This kids' only sailing is offered from 5:00 pm- 8:30 pm with dinner included. This adventure takes place at Disney's Beach Club Resort and with that idyllic location, you can find lots of great adult dining options for your date night. If you are a steak-lover, I recommend Yachtsman Steakhouse. If you book your son on the Captain Hook's Pirate Crew sailing, this is an easy walk next door.

Another option would be to utilize the Childcare services through the Kid's Nite Out provider. With this in-room babysitting service, you can customize the hours you need and have the convenience of leaving your son at your Disney Resort Hotel.

One more idea would be an evening for your son at Camp Dolphin. Located at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, this is a drop-off activity center open from 5:00 pm to midnight. Since the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is an easy walk to Disney's BoardWalk, I recommend checking out all the dining and lounge options there- perfect for an adult night! Flying Fish is a great choice if you're looking for seafood.

John, I hope this helps as you're planning for your trip. Wishing you a vacation filled with Magical memories and a romantic evening that would make both Mickey & Minnie swoon.

Please come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any other questions!
