Hi I loved the panel, Will be visiting WDW with my husband and 2 children 11 and 4 in Dec. 6-12 and will stay at the Pop , I am counting the days . my concern is regard the noise in the rooms, its the noise so annoying that dont let you sleep? Thanks

    Hi Arlene!

Wow- a visitor from Puerto Rico...Welcome!!!  I have stayed at the Pop Century Resort more times than I can count and have never experienced any serious noise problems.  In fact, the rooms in the Value and Moderate resorts are often significantly quieter than those found in the Deluxe Resorts.  The reason behind it actually all boils down to saving money.  As you might assume, Florida is hot!  Since the rooms in the Value and Moderate hotels all open to outdoor walkways, Disney insulates these rooms much more so than those that open to indoor hallways.  Also, the doors have weather stripping at the bottom to keep the Air Conditioning from escaping out the cracks.  Because Disney is trying to keep their energy bills down, it actually helps to soundproof the rooms!

I would also recommend requesting a room away from the pool areas, as these buildings are usually  louder.  Also, we always bring a cheap room fan with us to drown out any noise that may seep into the room.

I'm sure that you will have a magical trip - have fun!
