We LOVED the Art of Animation at Hollywood Studios. I realize it is no longer there.....is there any attraction, store or location that has anything similar to that attraction. Have teens who LOVE to draw so wanted to double check - THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Diane, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question!

I am so glad to hEAR you have a budding artist in the family. My teens also love to draw and were also huge fans of the animation classes hosted by Disney Animators in the Magic of Disney Animation building at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Truth be told, I loved the classes just as much as they did! Unfortunately, as you indicate, this popular attraction is now closed. However, I do have a great alternative activity to suggest.

Drawing classes similar to those which used to take place at the Magic of Disney Animation building are currently offered daily at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Disney animators lead each class, providing instruction on how to draw and sketch familiar Disney characters in fun, interactive sessions suitable for all ages. Currently classes are offered at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5 p.m. daily and are held in the children's playroom located adjacent to the front desk in the main lobby.

Another idea you may wish to consider if your teen loves to draw is picking them up a Disney character sketch book from the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom. These sketch books provide instruction on how to draw classic Disney characters and would make a wonderful keepsake from your trip.

Wishing you a wonderful upcoming Disney vacation!
