I love WDW and travel there solo frequently. I never try to eat at a table service restaurant because it feels unfair to both waitstaff and families to take up a table. Are there venues with group seating where I might fit into a table with an extra seat?

Hi, Patricia! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I would LOVE to take a solo vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! I have spent a few hours in the Disney Theme Parks by myself, and simply loved the ability to run on my own schedule! First, I want to say that you should never feel bad about taking up a table at a Table Service Disney restaurant! I have many friends who have done this and it was never a concern! However, if you still feel uneasy about this option, you could always select a meal at Biergarten Restaurant in Epcot. This is one of my family’s favorite spots to dine! The meal is served buffet style, but there is a live band and of course “das bier”! We were surprised that the first time we dined here, we were seated at the same table as another family, so I think this could be a great option for you! Another idea, also in Epcot is Teppan Edo, where the chef grills at your table! Again, this is another Disney restaurant where Guests are seated with other parties. Remember that you can make your Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180 days in advance!

I hope you have a wonderful time and bon appétit!
