I love WDW and want to be have one WDW Christmas before my only child's goes off to college. We have had amazing WDW trips through the years, but have only came at your least busy dates. What are your tips to avoid the crowds during Christmas week? Thanks!

    Hi Monica!

What a wonderful plan to have a Walt Disney World vacation with your child before they go off to college!  Christmas time is really special in Walt Disney World because of all the Holiday decorations and all the special things that go on during that time.  Christmas week will be really busy in Walt Disney World (one of the busiest times of year), but you can have a good strategy for maximizing your time there.  I have a few recommendations for you and they are:

    1. Get to each park 30 to 45 minutes before it is scheduled to open on that particular day

    2. Ride the most popular attractions first (the ones that typically have long wait times)

    3. Make FastPass+ selections before your vacation (60 days ahead if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort and 30 days ahead if staying off property)

    4. Make Advanced Dining Reservations ahead of your vacation (currently you can make Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days ahead)

    5. Visit the Walt Disney World Resorts and look at all the Holiday decorations

I hope that your Christmas Walt Disney World vacation with your child is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
