I love WDW in December, but this year we may go in August. I'm not really "outdoorsy", so to my surprise, I loved the cabins in December. I am considering the cabins again, but I don't like mosquitos. Do they magically stay away from FW Resort?

    Hi Catherine!

Thank you for the direct question! I can totally relate, because I too, am not the "outdoors" type, but I do enjoy many outdoor activities.  I would love to say that it is magical pixie dust that keeps most of the mosquitoes and additional insects at bay, but in reality Walt Disney World will always do the best they can to make guests comfortable. I have been told that the mosquitoes are not as bad in August, but I would recommend packing a good insect repellent with Deet, just to be on the safe side. I hope this helps.

Have a magical vacation in The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort!
