I love using my Magic Band for purchases in the park, however I plan on using gift cards to pay @ the front desk to cover the charges. Will that still work if I have a credit card on file, or will they just charge my credit card?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Marcee!

I, too, love the ease that a MagicBand provides while touring Walt Disney World. For me, walking into a theme park through the "Guests With No Bags" entrance is a dream come true--made possible by getting rid of that wallet and just tapping my MagicBand for all that we may need.

Because you've made the excellent choice to call a Walt Disney World Resort hotel "home" while you travel The Most Magical Place on Earth, you'll be able to use that MagicBand to charge things to your hotel account. While that account is linked to the credit card you have on file, that card is not charged each time you make a purchase. Instead, you accrue a balance on that account, and your credit card on file will be charged once your balance reaches a set amount. Once at your hotel, you can simply contact Front Desk Services, and speak to a Cast Member about applying those Disney Gift Cards to your balance prior to your credit card being charged. We've done this very thing many times, and it's been super simple on each occasion.

As you pixie dust your vacation plans, be sure to keep sending those additional questions our way, Marcee. We love to help!
