Hi Samantha,
Thanks for the lovely compliment! My family and I have stayed at the amazingly themed
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. We found the commuting time between this resort and all the Disney Theme Parks to be quite reasonable.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has its own dedicated bus service. Therefore, the
Walt Disney World® Bus Service runs seamlessly between all the Disney Theme Parks and this resort. When traveling to any of the theme parks, there are only two stops, one at Kidani Village and the other is Jambo House. If you are leaving to go to a theme park for the day, the buses will stop at Kidani Village first and Jambo House last. When you return home from the parks, the buses will stop at Kidani Village first before getting back to Jambo House. The Disney Springs bus reverses the route stopping at Jambo House first and Kidani Village last.
We are all quite eager to get to the theme parks first thing in the morning, so it may feel like the waits are interminable. However, I can tell you from personal experience that there is really no need to be concerned about transportation at this resort. From Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge it only took us between 25 and 35 minutes to get to Magic Kingdom, including wait time for the bus, and even less time to get to Epcot! So go ahead and enjoy the ease and convenience of the
Disney Complementary Resort Transportation.
I hope this information was useful, Samantha. If you have any other questions, please come back to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Wishing you an
unforgettable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
