Hello, Stacey and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Stacey, you bring up a great topic of conversation...
Disney's Beach Resorts! Not too many guests are aware that Disney has two beach resorts, both part of
Disney Vacation Club:
Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, located in South Carolina and
Disney's Vero Beach Resort, located on the Atlantic coast of Florida,
approximately 2 hours from the Walt Disney World Resort.
Stacey, since you're interested in Disney's Vero Beach Resort, there are a few "must-knows" about this amazing property. First, the good news is that you do not need to be a
Disney Vacation Club Member to visit. While you'll find lots of Members on the beach and
enjoying the pool, you can also
reserve a room through cash bookings.
Another "must-know" about Disney's Vero Beach Resort is that on the right day, the turtles are the star of the show! From May through October, guests staying at Disney's Vero Beach Resort can learn about
Sea Turtles and the conversation program. There is even a separate kids' adventure called Turtle Troop!
Since you are trip planning, it's also helpful to know that Disney's Vero Beach Resort's
beach access is restricted to resort guests, meaning, a day trip from Walt Disney World won't allow you to enjoy everything you might want to see and do at this property. If you're hoping for some downtime with your toes in the sand, I would consider adding on a night before or after your Walt Disney World vacation. And... if you find yourself there on a Saturday morning, you can meet up with my pal, Goofy for
Goofy's Beachside Character Breakfast at Seagrape.
Stacey, I hope this helps as you are thinking about your upcoming vacation and learning more about Disney's Beach Resorts. However you choose to spend your time, all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel wish you a Magical stay. Come on back and see us with any other questions you might have,
Lauren
