Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Catherine!
I remember planning my family's very first Walt Disney World® Resort vacation! It's an exciting time, but also overwhelming. Luckily, you've come to the right place for advice and information.....and for some tips on saving, too.
Whether it's a first vacation, or a one hundredth one, finding ways to save is important for all our guests, including me! Here are a few tips and tricks I've picked up along the way that might help you too.
• Disney Gift Cards - I really hit the "bullseye" by shopping at retail locations that offer savings on gift cards when using their store-issued debit cards. My favorite location offers a 5% discount. When I shop, I grab a Disney Gift Card here and there and put them up for safe keeping. After awhile, I've got a pretty substantial amount of Disney Gift Card money to put toward our vacation.
• Once you've collected several Disney Gift Cards, you can manage them all by visiting
disneygiftcard.com. This site will allow you to consolidate balances of several cards onto just one.
•
Special Offers Tab on the Walt Disney World® Resort Website - this is your source for any discounts currently available. There are often discounted resort hotels, theme park tickets and even free Disney Dining Plan offers.
• Use the complementary services of a certified Disney Travel Agent. Going through a Travel Agent is free and they're trained to keep an eye out for discounts - often automatically modifying your reservation to reflect new pricing.
I hope you find these tips helpful, Catherine. I'd love to continue helping you, so please let me know if you have any additional questions - I have a lot more tips!
