Love your site. Have used it many times. How long does it take on the monorial from Epcot to the Contemporary?

    Hi Heda!

Thanks for coming to the Moms Panel with your questions! I'm glad you have found it useful in planning your trip.

When taking the monorail from Epcot to the Contemporary, you will want to allow a good bit of time - at least 45 minutes to be on the safe side.

You will need to take the monorail from Epcot to the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC). From there you will need to board the resort monorail. The resort monorail will make stops at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary in that order. This will take a good bit of time when you factor in the time it takes to wait for passengers to depart and board the monorail at each stop.

I suggest allowing ample time just in case there are unexpected delays along the way. Sometimes monorails have to hold for other traffic on the line which can add to your travel time and your stress level when you have to be somewhere at a certain time.

Another option you may want to consider would be to take the monorail from Epcot to the TTC and then board the express monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Once you arrive at the MK, the Contemporary is about a five minute walk. This would shave off some time, but I would still allow at least 30 minutes.

I hope this helps! Have a great vacation!
