Love this site! Planning on doing a character meal each day for 6 days. Which 6 should I choose? Going 10/17 - 10/24. Thinking Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's are definites, but what else? Looking to do about 3 dinners and 3 breakfasts. Thanks!

    Hi Hal!

I absolutely love going to the character meals. It's a great way to get photos and autographs without waiting in the long lines at the parks.I completely agree that you should go to Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace.

For a great character breakfast buffet, I would suggest Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom and the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club resort. The characters are always subject to change, but you can feel pretty confident in seeing Donald at the Tusker House and some of his pals like Mickey and Goofy - all dressed up in their safari gear. The Cape May Cafe rotates similar characters dressed up for the beach.

A good choice for dinner is The Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. This restaurant serves a family style dinner platter which is great because you don't have to get up from the table to visit a buffet, everything is brought right to you. The restaurant slowly rotates while you dine and gives you views of the Living with the Land boat ride. The usual characters at this meal include Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto - dressed as farmers.

Depending on what characters you would most like to see, 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian resort is a good choice for breakfast or dinner. Characters at breakfast may include Pooh, Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins. Dinner here is named "Cinderella's Gala Feast" and Cinderella is present along with her wicked stepmother and stepsisters. Both meals are buffet.

I would decide which meals you will go to when and then plug in Chef Mickey's or the Crystal Palace for either breakfast or dinner since the characters are pretty much the same at each restaurant all day. I will say that I have had both breakfast and dinner at both, and I loved breakfast at the Crystal Palace - their puffed french toast is delicious!

I hope this helps! Have fun planning!
