Thank you Derek for such great compliments! We all love being on the panel and helping others make their Disney trips magical!
A dining place in the Hollywood Studios that might compare to some degree with those that you mentioned might be the Brown Derby. It has a nice atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the park and the food is great....a huge favorite is the cobb salad! But before you decide on that location consider some really fun places like Primetime Cafe and Sci Fi Dine In Theater!
Primetime is like going home and eating in your mom's kitchen...in fact mom still is cooking for you in the back. The cast members make it a fun and wild dining experience...not as quiet as the Brown Derby....but worth lots of laughs. The food is a bit more home cooking with lots of great dessert choices. My favorite is the smores!
Sci Fi Dine In Theater makes you feel like you are back in the days of the drive in movies! You sit in car replicas and enjoy clips from "old" movies while you eat and enjoy the basic burger and sandwich fare here. Dinner will have a few more choices on the menu. It is a bit dark in this restaurant so you are able to enjoy the big screen.
The choices are tough so it is more about what kind of dining atmosphere you are looking for. Beyond the three I mentioned there are also others that are wonderful. Check them out on the Disney website,
