Hello! LOVE your site - so helpful!! I was wondering about the FW campfire experience. We plan to bring our own marshmallows to save $, but how crowded does it usually get in June? Will we be able to get close enough to a fire to toast them?? Thanks!! :)

    Jamie:

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel for our thoughts!

Our family stays often at Fort Wilderness, and no trip would be complete without a visit to the campfire sing-a-along!

We went last year over Easter weekend, one of the most crowded times of the year, and just a few weeks ago over Spring Break and had no problem getting near the pit.  In fact, there are two fire pits--one on either side of the grandstands.  You'll find mostly kids roasting marshmallows, not entire families swarming the fires.  We've found that most folks are rather orderly in taking turns when there is a large crowd, so no worries!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
