Love your site. I am coming to WDW for a conference June 2010. My husband and I are in the early stages of considering bringing the family along (3,12 &13 yrs). I am wondering what the advantages/disadvantages are of the WDW Resorts vs. non WDW resort

Thanks for the question and the kind words Shava! for many many years, my number one Walt Disney World tip is to stay at a Walt Disney resort. There is a wide range of resort options for all budgets and preferences, ranging from the lesser-priced value resorts to the deluxe resorts. I personally believe the level of service, extras, quality of amenities etc. cannot be beat. Here are a few of the benefits I tend to take advantage of:

    - Complimentary transportation on Magical Express from and back to your resort saves both time and money.
    - Free transportation within all Walt Disney World areas - although other resorts often offer transportation to and from the theme parks, it can sometimes be only a few times daily. For me, it's a true vacation when I don't have to drive!
    - Resort guests enjoy extra magic hours in one theme park each day , often up to three hours past closing time!
    - I love the package delivery to my resort. Whatever you purchase can be shipped for pickup at your resort, so you don't have to carry your packages with you all day.
    - Resort guests can purchase one of several dining plans.

I hope this helps in your decision-making Shava! Write us back if you have any other questions!
