My DH and i love searching for hidden mickeys. Without giving away the exact details (we would like to have to search for them at least a little) what are the top 5 best/most creative hidden mickeys in WDW that we shouldn't miss?

    Fun question!

If you don't have it already, I recommend Steve Barrett's wonderful book "Hidden Mickey: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Secrets." This is available in many WDW stores in the WDW, as well as through many regular bookstores and amazon.com. Steve also has a great website at hiddenmickeysguide.com. They even have an iPhone app!

Every Disney lover I know has their own set of favorite Hidden Mickeys. I wouldn't presume to say which are the best, because each is creative and personal in its own way. But I will tell you some that I find particularly noteworthy or fun.

    1. Perhaps the most famous Hidden Mickey is in the dining room scene of the Haunted Mansion ride. Hint: take a good look at the table.

    2. My husband loves the Hidden Mickey in the golf scene of Epcot's Soarin'. Hint: Keep your eye on the ball.

    3. The Living with the Land ride at Epcot features several Hidden Mickeys. Hint: The shrimp have a secret.

    4. The Grand Marshall car in the Magic Kingdom daytime parade includes lots of Hidden Mickeys. Hint: Don't get "tired" looking for them.

    5. The Muppet attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios includes a Hidden Mickey in the preshow. Hint: It's only a test.

    6. In the Small World attraction at the Magic Kingdom there are large black Hidden Mickeys. Hint: I hope the giraffes don't eat them.

    7. There are a number of Hidden Mickeys in the Expedition Everest queue at the Animal Kingdom. Hint: Don't run into a rough patch while searching.

    8. The Flights of Wonder stage at the Animal Kingdom has some. Hint: You don't have to get hit by a brick to find them.

    9. The D-Street store at Downtown Disney is the home of a Hidden Mickey. Hint: You have to keep your head in the clouds.

    10. At the Grand Floridian, Hidden Mickeys are everywhere. Hint: You practically step all over them.

    Happy hunting!
