I love the scent in Pixar Place, can you tell me what it’s called and if it’s sold anywhere? Thank you!

Greetings, Christy, and welcome to planDisney! One of the most magical things about the Disneyland Resort is how every detail, from the music to the lighting to the scent in the air, is designed to create lasting memories. That immersion extends beyond the parks and into the Disneyland Resort hotels, too! I love that you’re looking to bring a bit of that Pixar Place Hotel magic into your home.

To help answer your question, Christy, I did a bit of research and connected with a helpful Cast Member at Pixar Place Hotel. I learned that each Disneyland Resort hotel has its own signature scent, specially created by a third-party company. Unfortunately, they’re not available for purchase at this time.

I recommend visiting Tenaya Stone Spa inside the Grand Californian Hotel. The spa offers a great selection of high-quality products, including diffusers, lotions, room sprays, hair products, and more. You'll feel like you brought a little piece of the spa back with you! You can also browse the shops of the Downtown Disney District to see if there are any products that will bring you joy long after your vacation has ended. One of my favorite purchases for my home was a foaming hand soap dispenser that left a "hidden Mickey" in the palm of my hand with each use. It was so fun and had a nice citrus smell, too. Of course, you can also do a little online shopping on the Disney Store website. I didn't see any lotions, candles, or diffusers available at the moment, but I did notice a small collection of Disney Princess-themed perfumes!

Christy, while I wish I had better news for you about the Pixar Place Hotel scent you are dreaming of, I want to thank you for coming to planDisney with your question. It got me thinking of my favorite recognizable aromas at the Disneyland Resort, like the waters of Pirates of the Caribbean, a tart but sweet Dole Whip, the trees of the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, fresh popcorn, crisp linens in the hotel rooms, and even the smell of chocolate chip cookies on the Incredicoaster. But I have to agree with you – there's something distinctly pleasant about the scents at the hotels. I wish you luck in recreating that special fragrance to enjoy in between visits.

    Wishing you magic,
