Hello, I love reading all your recommendations. My husband and I will be taking our daughter to Disney World in August. I have read that alot of people bring their food. We are traveling from NYC, what is the best way for us to save money on food? Thanks!

A favorite money saving tip amongst the "moms" is to bring your own bottled water as well as breakfast staples to keep in your hotel room.  If you're driving, you can stock up on these essentials before you leave home and store things like milk and orange juice in an ice chest in your vehicle for the trip.  If you're flying, you might consider taking advantage of one of the grocery delivery services available in the Orlando area.  A quick google search of "Orlando grocery delivery" will yield you a number of options to consider.  As for breakfast staples, some suggestions include: boxed cereal, bananas, oranges, apple sauce, granola bars and dried fruits.  If you'd like to bring along some snacks for the park, you might consider crackers, non-perishable salami, fruit rolls, and peanut butter cracker sandwiches.  You'd be amazed how much money you'll save on snacks!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
