Hi! I love reading the questions and answers here on Mom's panel! Our boys are 10 and 6 and are timid. How can we get them to try new rides and watch the fireworks and parades/shows? We've been to Disney several times and we always do the same things!

    Hey Kimberly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you for bringing us this great question.

I completely understand your situation. My daughter is very hesitant to ride certain rides which have any sort of 'thrill'... or even what she perceives as thrill.

To show her the rides weren't as bad as she perceived, I found YouTube videos which showed the rides I knew she would like. For example, by watching the video of Splash Mountain she could see that it's really just a lazy river ride with one big drop.

I think this might work for your sons as well. You could show them videos of the rides and attractions you would like them to experience so they can see how great they are.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
