Hello Lee'Ann,
You know, of course, that when you wish upon a star, your dreams come true. It sounds like your heart truly is in your dream of enjoying a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your children. Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, because we always love sharing suggestions for how you can plan your magical Disney vacation.
Let me share a few suggestions to help you get started with your planning.
You can put together your vacation package that incudes your Walt Disney World Resort hotel accommodations and your theme park tickets using
the vacation package tools online. Simply begin by entering a bit of information about your plans -- your travel dates, and the ages of your children -- and you'll see a list of options for Resort hotels.
Don't be surprised (or overwhelmed) when you see a long list of choices! You'll find there are Resort hotel options for just about every vacation vibe and vacation budget. It can be really helpful to get familiar with the
Disney Resorts Collection so you can learn more about your options. For example, you might find it fun to surround yourself with Disney animation classics at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort or one of the other character-themed Resort hotels. Or you might want to stay in
a Resort hotel that's a delightful stroll away from Magic Kingdom Park. You have lots of great options.
When you book your vacation package with your Resort hotel and theme park tickets, you'll be guided to place your deposit of $200 to confirm your reservation. Your payment in full would be due 30 days before your arrival. The good news here is that you can make payments on a schedule that's convenient for you through your
My Disney Experience account.
One note to point out, Lee'Ann, is that flights are not available to be added to vacation packages for 2021 travel dates.
Let me offer a quick word on
Theme park tickets. When you book your vacation package, after you select your Resort hotel, you'll be prompted to add theme park tickets to your package. You can select the number of days you wish to visit the theme parks, and
you can use your tickets over a certain number of days depending on how many days you select. This gives you lots of flexibility to visit the theme parks as well as enjoy relaxing Resort time. Personally, I always recommend adding the Park Hopper Option so you can enjoy the magic of visiting more than one the park in the same day.
After you book your vacation package, you'll want to make your theme park reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system.
Lee'Ann, I hope this info is helpful to get you started with your planning. Please do come back with more questions as you plan your magical stay. We're here for you and happy to help!
