I love photo pass pictures and we usually stay a week at WDW but next year we are only going to visit one day to MK and will be bringing grandkids for their first visit. Not sure what would be the most cost effective on purchasing pictures.

Hi Kim, and a big welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What a special blessing to be able to take your precious grandchildren for their very first Walt Disney World visit. I can only imagine how those magical moments with them as they experience the magic will tug at your heart.

And of course, you'll want to make sure you capture those magical memories forever! Disney's PhotoPass service makes it really easy for you to do just that. You'll find PhotoPass photographers all over the Theme Parks, so feel free to pose for as many shots as you can - from entering the Theme Park to meeting your grandchildren's favorite Disney pals, to hurtling down Splash Mountain! Just have the photographer scan your MagicBand or admission card each time you take a photo, and you'll be able to view them right in your My Disney Experience or My Disney PhotoPass accounts. Then, you can choose to order only the individual photos you want.

Memory Maker is another option. It's an easy way to make sure you get digital copies of all of the photos you take, but for a single day in the Park it may not be the best bang for your buck.

Also, the PhotoPass photographers will happily take photos with your own phone or camera. Ideally, I'd go for a mix of shots from my camera and the professional photos taken with the PhotoPass cameras. That way, you're assured lots of memories and at least a few high-quality shots you can display with a grandparent's pride.

I hope this helps you have a picture-perfect day with your grandkids, Kim. Please do stop by and see us again if you have any more questions.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
