I LOVE you people! Great advice! First family vacation with our 8yr old girl. Visiting Aug. 8th -12th, are there any waterpark activities/festivities going on that week? What's the typical wait for a waterslide, and do the lines move fairly rapidly?

    Hi Heather!
Other than normal day to day business, I did not find any specific activities for either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon for your upcoming trip. That said, you are not going to care....in the intense August heat, you'll be happy just to be in the water. :)
Depending on the particular attraction or slide, lines can get quite long and the speed at which the lines move varies as well. Some slides/attractions require the person to be out of the way at the bottom before the next person is allowed to go, so this can slow things down at times.
Either way, just kick back, relax, and enjoy the cool, refreshing break from park touring.
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical vacation!! :)
