    I would love to participate in the Castaway Cay 5k on My upcoming cruise. Will my husband and 2 small children (my cheering section) be able to disembark the ship with me that morning?

    Hi Jodie!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your upcoming Disney Cruise is going to one of my favorite places on Earth! Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, is my idea of paradise! Gorgeous beaches, delicious food, palm trees and the Disney Cruise ship as the island's backdrop make it the perfect island getaway.

    I love beginning the day by participating in the Castaway Cay 5K! It's a beautiful and fun course around the island. I like to jog it, but it's not a race! Walkers, joggers and runners are welcome. It sounds like you have an amazing and loving cheering section! Your husband and buccaneers will be able to disembark the ship with you on the morning of the 5K and chEAR you across the finish line! If this will be your first time participating in the Castaway Cay 5K, I do want to mention that even though it's held early in the morning, it's usually very warm outside. Please drink lots of water before, during and after the 5K to stay hydrated and cool.

    Jodie, I hope you and your family will rent snorkel gear and check out all the hidden treasures under the sea in the Snorkeling Lagoon off Castaway Family Beach. Snorkeling is my favorite way to relax after jogging the Castaway Cay 5K! If you have any other questions before your voyage to paradise, please come back and visit us again!
