Love the panel! My DH wants to stay at the Animal kingdom Lodge. To me its pricey and the food doesn't suit my taste in any rests. Can you see lots of animals from your room? the rooms do look nice! need an opinion is it worth the $ we have a 2yr old girl!

    Hi Samantha,

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful!  If you pay for a savannah view, you will, indeed, see wild animals right outside your room.  There is nothing quite like waking up early on a misty morning and walking out on your balcony to see giraffes and other animals right outside, enjoying their breakfast.  My husband and I enjoy both Jiko and Boma, so this resort is a wonderful splurge for our family.

Having said that, it is pricey, and although many people find the restaurants at Animal Kingdom Lodge among the best Disney World has to offer, the food does not appeal to everyone.  You may be better off enjoying a different resort that you and your husband will both look forward to visiting.

Wilderness Lodge was designed by the same architect.  The lobby has a very similar feel.  It's close to the Magic Kingdom, has a well-themed pool area, and Whispering Canyon Cafe is a fun restaurant.  Click HERE for more information.

Hope this helps.  Wherever you decide to stay, have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
