Love the panel!! Visiting WDW from Sep 30-Oct 7 with DH and DD4. We arrive at MCO at 3:45 and staying at Boardwalk. Have 8 day hopper tx and DDP. Any suggestions on what would be a fun and convenient place to eat at Epcot, HS or BW on our first night?

Sounds like you have the makings of a fabulous trip!

As for a first night dinner, might I suggest Teppan Edo in Epcot's World Showcase?  It fits the requirements of both fun and convenient.  It is very similar to other hibachi restaurants that can be found across the country, only more authentic feeling because, well, because you're in Japan (sort of!).  My kids enjoyed the "show" aspect of our meal; our chef was very entertaining!

If that one doesn't suit your fancy, my second choice would be a meal at the nearby Restaurant Marrakesh.  My family tried dinner there for the first time last year and everyone enjoyed it.  The food is authentic, but not too adventurous for choosey eaters.  The fun factor is boosted way up by the belly dancer who takes center stage every so often to put on a lively show.

The benefit of visiting one of Epcot's restaurants on your first night is that you could kick your vacation into high gear by closing out your evening with the Illuminations fireworks show before heading back to your resort room.  Enjoy your visit!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
