Hi! Love your panel! We will be vacationing in Sept 2018. On our first night in Orlando, we will not be using park tickets, but will have Dining Plan credits. What are some fun options outside of the parks to use a table service credit? Thx!

    Hi Ashlie!

Choosing where to dine while on your Walt Disney World vacation is fun but also a bit daunting. There are so many great Disney Dining Locations and picking just a few will be the toughest part of your vacation.

The parks do indeed have some good choices but many of my favorite spots for dining are actually in the Disney resorts and also at Disney Springs. Some of my favorite resort dining locations include Whispering Canyon, Artists Point, Citricos, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Flying Fish. There are also a large number of different character dining spots outside of the parks with my favorite being Chef Mickey in the Contemporary. All of these spots will be included under the Dining Plan but also check to see how many credits they will be asking before making your final decision.

You might also consider a dining show such as the Hoop Dee Doo or the Luau.

One of my own personal favorite things to do when arriving at Disney for a vacation is to head to Disney Springs. This is such a fun place to experience and especially in the evening with the lights and street entertainment. You can choose from a variety of great dining locations. There is the more upscale Morimoto Asia and Boathouse to the very casual Quick Service Blaze Pizza. There are several locations for dessert as well and my "go to" spot for the sweets is Sprinkles Cupcakes. Not only do they have the best cupcakes around but their ice cream treats are just as good.

As you can see you will have many choices and it will depend on whether you wish to travel around the resorts or head to Disney Springs for your first Disney dining experience. No matter what you decide I am sure it will be delicious and wonderful.
