Love the panel! Trying to decide if we should mail ourselves a pkg. What would be some things you mailed yourself besides snacks & empty water bottles?

    Hi Kelley,

Mailing yourself a package is a great idea for all of those things you need on your vacation that you won't be bringing home with you.  I've only done it once when I had an infant.  Little ones need a lot of stuff.  I sent packets of formula, rice cereal, diapers, things like that.  Sending snacks is great.  You also could send a box of cereal and some disposable bowls/spoons.  Then just buy some milk, and voila, breakfast is served!  Sunscreen is a great thing to send too.  That's something that usually gets used up during the vacation.

Make sure to send the package directly to your resort and include your arrival date and reservation number.  I've also heard that it's best to ship with a courier service (UPS, FedEx, etc.) rather than going through the post office.

The only downside to not packing these items in your suitcase is that you won't have any room left for souvenirs at the end of your vacation :)  Packing all of those disposable items, forces you to pack just a little lighter.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
