Love the panel! Our trip is in January for 9 days we we were just there in Sept, since we were just there I think 9 days is to much for the parks, Love some suggestions of things to do outside the parks hidden gems aroud Disney with a 3 yr old Thanks

I don't know how hidden these gems are, Samantha, but here are some of the activities my family (including a two-year-old) enjoy doing during our down days at WDW:

    - rent a surrey bike at Disney's BoardWalk Inn
    - spend a day at Downtown Disney (my toddler likes the Lego store and riding the train there)
    - waste away an afternoon poolside
    - see the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness
    - enjoy a character meal in one of the resort restaurants (Chef Mickey's is a big hit with little ones)
    - have breakfast at Boma and then go see the animals at Animal Kingdom Lodge
    - rent a boat and cruise the waterways
    - enjoy a meal (and a delicious sundae) at Beaches and Cream
    - take a walk at the BoardWalk in the evening and enjoy the live performers
    - DisneyQuest offers some fun attractions, even for the little ones
    - reserve a horse drawn carriage ride at Port Orleans Riverside

Hope that gives you a starting point; enjoy your trip!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
