Hi Moms. Love the panel. I have a tour booked at 8:30am but the park doesn't open until 9. Please tell me how long it takes to get to MK from the TTC and if transportation starts early enough. We are planning on driving a car.

    Hi Nancy,

What fun!  Tours are an exciting way to see and learn lots of interesting information and history of the parks.

You shouldn't have a problem getting to the Magic Kingdom in time.  Transportation does begin one hour prior to park opening as many guest like to arrive in time for rope drop and some, like you, have dining  and tour reservations prior to park opening. Once you park your car, you will take the tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center.  From there, you have the option to take the ferry or the monorail. I would personally allow about an hour from the time you park your car as the lines will be forming at both the ferry and the monorail loading areas in anticipation of park opening.  Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom park entrance, there should be a turnstile specially marked for early dining reservations and tours.  You will have to present your park tickets and proof of a reserved tour. At this point, the cast member should give you further instruction on where to go once inside the park.  Be sure to take a moment to stop and take a photo of the castle while the streets are practically empty.  That is one of my favorite times to see Main Street, USA and the castle.

Enjoy your tour and be sure to stop by with more questions as you think of them!
