    Hi - love the panel!!! Staying at AKL in mid Sept. do rooms have cd players? Or DVD players that CDs will play in? DS (2) needs music to fall asleep for a nap. Also - how long is the walk to the water play area in the villas from the pool at AKL?

    The Animal Kingdom Lodge is absolutely fabulous!  You will adore waking up to see the amazing animals just outside your room.  Of course, we wake up with "animals" IN our room no matter where we stay in Walt Disney World!

    I did not recall seeing a CD player in my room when I stayed at the AKL last year.    However, the Disney website mentions that they are available in the Club Level 1 Bedroom Suites with Concierge Service.  So, I called the AKL and asked a Cast Member.  I was told that CD players do not come as a standard amenity with the rooms.  My recommendation would be that you take your own portable CD player, or your laptop to play the music your son needs to fall asleep.  I would ask again upon check-in, though, if you decide not to take your own player.  You never know - they may be able to work it out for you!

    Guests at the Animal Kingdom Villas are also entitled to use the amenities at "Jambo House" at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and vice versa.

    Uwanja Camp at the Animal Kingdom Villas is a 4200 square foot interactive water play area for children up through teens.  The walk from Jambo House at the AKL to the entrance of Kidani Village is about half a mile, so be prepared for a 10 to 15 minute walk, depending upon how slow/fast you walk.

    There is Resort bus transportation available between Jambo House and Kidani Village.  It might not save time, but it may save you some energy!
